The big moments. The mundane moments. The real—not always perfect—moments. The true-to-you moments. The treasure forever moments.
Baby crying for the pacifier? Toddler refusing to participate without their favorite lovey? Kiddo in that awkward-Chandler-Bing-smile phase? However exasperated those little quirks may make you in the moment, that's real life, and you're going to want to remember them.
Whether you're welcoming a new baby into the world or simply want to capture this season life before your kids are too cool for family pictures, your moments — big and small — are worth documenting. And I want to be the one to do it for you.
I won't force anyone to smile if they don't want to. (In fact, I won't even make you look at me most of the time.) I won't force you to pose like you're sitting for a portrait circa the Gilded Age. I won't intricately swaddled your baby and contort them into a basket.
What I will do is ask you to play, snuggle and love on your babies; I'll do the rest. I promise to make it as easy, laidback and as enjoyable as possible for the whole crew. Fun fact: Dads—especially the ones that hate family pictures—frequently comment on how painless I make the entire experience. If that's not a win, I don't know what is!
I won't force you to smile or do a cheesy pose, I won't decoratively swaddle your fresh, squishy newborn into oblivion, I definitely won't ask you to wear matching outfits. But what I will do is capture you and your family as you actually are; the good, the bad, the funny, and maybe even the grumpy (kids can be, like, so moody!).
MY FAVORITE PART OF MY JOB? WHEN A FAMILY GETS THEIR photos AND SAYS, "THAT'S SO US."

“Mackenzie truly captured our family & the personalities of our kids through her camera.”

We had such a wonderful time with her! The images are gorgeous and it was such a fun experience. We highly recommend her.
I want you to have family portraits that you LOVE. No forced smiles, no corny poses — just you and your family as you are. I promise to make it as easy, laidback and authentic as possible, and hopefully a little fun, too. Sounds pretty nice, huh?
