It’s stroking their soft skin and marveling at how perfect they are … and also changing more diapers than you ever thought possible. (Like seriously, where is it coming from!?!)
When you’re knee-deep in newborn life, it can be hard to feel like it’ll ever end. But as a mom of two, I’m here to say it does. It does so fast, you guys. And you’ll miss this stage so dang much it hurts sometimes.
But whew, what a ride!

The short answer is: It depends on your family! I tailor my approach to what makes you feel most at ease.
But I can definitely tell you what it’s not: it’s not super posed or swaddled into oblivion in a cold studio. Instead, our session is laidback, authentic, maybe even fun :)
When we’re together, the only thing you really need to do is love on your babies in the comfort of your own home. I’ll do the rest.
(And bonus: Dads are usually on board too. If that’s not a win, I don’t know what is!)

Which is why I offer heirloom quality prints, albums and wall art and include a print credit in each of my collections. Because this phase may be over in a blink, but your photos will preserve it all.
But there’s something very real about touching a photo and sparking a story.
I’d bet we all have memories of dinners at Grandma’s house, where the talk turned to old times and the photo albums came out. Was that your dad as a kid in a super weird outfit? It sure was.
Somewhere along the way, we sort of … stopped doing that. The prints went digital, and we lost a tactile way to remember.
