This in-home newborn photography session to welcome Baby Josephine was truly a joy! This family had a relaxed, happy, fun energy. I could feel the love as soon as I walked in the door for their newborn session. Baby Josephine—Josie for short!—was the happiest baby with the most adorable dimples! She was so laidback and seemed to love the hustle and bustle of her older two siblings already.
How did Josie’s older sibling react to her?
Josie’s older siblings had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of their little sister! They have spent every day since her arrival saying how much they love her. They think she’s “the cutest in our family” and are constantly arguing over who gets to hold her.
What was the inspiration for Josie’s nursery?
Her nursery was inspired by the quote, “In a field of roses she is a wildflower.” It has always been a favorite of mine. We tied it all together with a handpainted mural and floral watercolor rug.
How would you describe Josie’s personality so far?
She is just so happy! We started getting smiles from her within her first week of life! So far her favorites are contact naps, watching big brother and sister play after school, snuggles, hugs, and kisses.
What is your favorite thing about raising a family in Pepper Pike?
Pepper Pike is so close to amazing parks and libraries, and we love having family nearby. It has the benefits of the suburbs while still being close to downtown Cleveland and Lake Erie. Attending downtown events or exploring the waterfront is easy and convenient. We also love that we get all four seasons here—we couldn’t imagine living anywhere else!
Why did you schedule an in-home newborn photography session with Mackenzie Romagni Photography?
The newborn stage is such a short moment of life, I wish I could hold onto it forever. Your newborn photography captures these fleeting moments so we have something to look back on when this stage has passed.
What was your favorite part of your in-home newborn photography session?
We loved how cozy it felt! And how the older kids could be themselves and show their personalities. Being at home put everyone at ease and resulted in amazing pictures.
What is your favorite photo from your in-home newborn photography session?
Our favorite was the image of the whole family on the bed. It’s perfect in every way. It truly shows our love and family member’s personality. It also shows how tiny the baby is yet also how small and big the big kids are all at once. We love it!
